To push forward the follow-up works and listen to the opinions of enterprises, CAAM held the 1st working conference of big data committee in Boao on July 3. There were 22 units invited, including MIIT Equipment Industry Development Center, domestic major manufacturers, foreign auto enterprises, test agencies, ICT companies and international industrial associations.

　　Ms. Xu Yanhua, the Deputy Secretary General of CAAM, hosted the conference and introduced in detail the significance of big data to the future development of the automotive industry as well as recent works carried out by CAAM on big data.

　　Mr. Wang Yao, the Director of CAAM Technology Department, introduced the classification, application and developing status of automotive big data. Besides, he presented the follow-up plans of data standard working group and platform company construction working group as well as the construction scheme of the automotive big data blockchain platform company.

　　Mr. Qiu Bin, the Deputy Director of Data Management Department of MIIT Equipment Industry Development Center, attended the conference. He expressed that it was a very good try for CAAM to set up the automotive big data committee and the big data blockchain platform company to give full play to the functions of organization and coordination from the perspective of the industry. Meanwhile, he wished that CAAM could further specify the scope in future big data related work; and considered the government needs to the data for vehicle regulation at the same time. In the discussion, the representatives raised their demands and suggestions on future plans of the committee. They all stated that they would strongly support the big data related works.

　　At the end, Ms. Xu Yanhua made a summary. She specified the next working direction of the committee. It was hoped that each company could identify the right person later. CAAM would communicate with each company one by one in meeting or by writing, so that to formulate the working plan and objectives of the data standard working group as soon as possible, and such for the platform company construction working group.
