Seminar on Automotive Industrial Economic Operation and Forecast Held in Beijing

  On Jun 14th, 2019, CAAM held a seminar on automotive industrial economic operation and forecast in Beijing.

  More than 10 domestic main auto enterprises (Group) attended the meeting, including FAW, Dongfeng, SAIC, Changan, BAIC, GAC, JAC, Chery, Geely, Great Wall, Yutong and King Long. Moreover, the government officials, industrial experts, leaders of CAAM participated in as well. They were Mr. Wu Langu, the Deputy Director of Economic Operation Bureau of MIIT, Mr. Dong Weidong, the Director of Industry Department of NDRC, Mr. Fu Bingfeng, the Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM, Mr. Ye Shengji, the Deputy Secretary General of CAAM, Mr. Xu Haidong, the Secretary General Assistant of CAAM and Mr. Li Shaohua, the Secretary General Assistant of CAAM.

Mr. Fu Bingfeng, the Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM

  First of all, the Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Fu Bingfeng delivered a speech. In his speech, he pointed out that last year the auto market contracted for the first time in 28 years, which the auto industry and enterprise had to face great pressures. As the pillar industry, the auto industry was highly valued by the government. CAAM actively cooperated with the government to carry out the relevant works, reflect the operation of the industry and put forward policy opinions and suggestions. At the same time, it is hoped that through the operation and analysis meeting, the enterprises could elaborate their own development situation and existing problems. CAAM would play an important role for the enterprises in achieving better development in the era of industrial transformation by giving full play to the discussion mechanism, combining with the industry operation, and actively reflecting demands to the relevant ministries.

Mr. Wu Langu, the Deputy Director of Economic Operation Bureau of MIIT

  During the meeting, the Deputy Director of Economic Operation Bureau of MIIT Mr. Wu Langu made an important report. He introduced the industrial operation situation in detail; pointed out that MIIT paid close attention to the auto market development and placed a high hope on the industrial development of the next half. Along with the improvement of the financial conditions of enterprises, the forces supporting national economic growth are growing, followed by the ever-increasing market confidence. Hence, the national economy would present a stable trend in the second half of this year.

  CAAM Industry Development Department introduced the basic situation of auto industrial operation in the first half; and analyzed the operating characteristics. CAAM Trade Coordination Department analyzed the influencing factors of the economic operation of the auto industry in the first half as well as made forecast on the whole-year sales based on the current situation.

  On the meeting, the delegates respectively expressed their own views on whole-year trend combined with the first half situation; and put forward opinions on the common problems and hot issues.

  Finally, the Deputy Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Ye Shengji gave a brief summary. He firstly thanked all the representatives for their efforts and contributions to the seminar, especially the support and guidance from the government. He fully recognized the important role of the conference in analyzing the industrial operation, enhancing the communication between CAAM and enterprises, identifying the development problems and proposing solutions. At the same time, Mr. Ye Shengji pointed out that CAAM would further strengthen the sorting of relevant issues, focus on the research on industrial development policies and special topics, and work with enterprises to jointly promote the effective implementation of relevant policies on industrial development, to actively put forward the healthy and sustainable development of the auto industry.
