In order to support enterprise product development, facilitate enterprise to have forward-looking understanding of global technical regulations, China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) especially organized   the founding meeting of working group of OICA technical committee in Beijing Jin Diya hotel on July 28, 2010.
        Mr. Du Fangci, assistant Secretary General of CAAM, Mr. Li Shizhong, director of International Cooperation Department as well as business representatives a total of 45 persons attended the meeting.
        Mr. Li Shizhong chaired the meeting and English was used as working language.
        During the meeting, firstly Mr. Li Shizhong introduced the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA) in detail, and then all participants focused on three topics: first, the participation rules for working group meetings of OICA technical committee; two, the program to divide participants into 6 working groups; and three,         determine the head and vice head of every group.
        The CAAM organizes the meeting like this for the first time and will continue to actively participate in the organizations of such meeting in the future. CAAM is responsible for arranging one or two meetings every year, and organizes the working group introduce the technical regulation to the whole automobile industries. Besides, according to the revisions based on global technical, the CAAM also will reflect the opinions and demands of Chinese auto companies to the government when developing compulsory standards.
