Automotive Industry Seminar held in Beijing

Automotive industry seminar and corporation and media association that organized by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) and auto review Magazine was held in Beijing on January 6, 2011. Mr. Dong Yang, executive vice chairman and secretary general of CAAM, President of auto review Magazine, Mr. Liu Baowen, vice secretary general of CAAM, executive vice President of auto review Magazine, Representatives from automotive enterprise, Consulting firm, industry experts and media attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Mr. Dong Yang summarized the work of CAAM, forecasted the development of the Chinese automotive industry. He said that long-term and stable national policy is more important for the development of the Chinese automotive industry, and auto companies should consider the issue of enterprise development issues from a strategic level.

Mr. Liu Baowen chaired the meeting and thanked people’s support and help from all walks of life. He stressed that the seminar around the brand building and communication issues of automotive industry. Under this theme, Mr. Chen Guan, Mr. Zheng Xin’an and Mr. Pan Jianxing made the speeches on the current automobile brand marketing and public dissemination of new ideas and new trends from multiple perspectives. Mr. Wang Yuben talked about how to deal with brand building from a legal point of view, besides, Mr. Wu Yingqiu, senior industry expert, forecasted the prospects of the Chinese automobile market in 2012, and talked about his views about the question that how to deal with the development of traditional sense of self-brand and joint venture’s own brands.
        By analyzing the characteristics of China's auto industry, Cao Qing and Shen Jun put forward their own unique view of the Chinese automotive brand internationalization. Cao Qing think that China's auto industry bears a lot of opportunities, but also faces many challenges, and he  is willing to sum up the  policies and measures for the China's auto internationalization  as "knowledge”,” management" and "integration”. The difference is that Shen Jun believes that to build the core competitiveness is the breakthrough of road.
        Representatives from BAIC, SGMW and CHANGAN AUTO described their results achieved in improving product quality and brand influence and the challenges facing the future development, and illustrated how to better carry out the R & D of own brand cars and expand the brand influence.
        The seminar was universally praised by participants. Many participants said that such seminars should be more organized in order to discuss more aspects of the automotive industry.
