On Oct. 9th, 2012, the 6th Sodality of Foreign Auto Companies in China was held in Beijing. Co-organized by Ford China, there were totally 19 foreign companies attending the meeting, like Volkswagen, Daimler, Hyundai, Toyota, BMW, GM and PSA. Besides, the relevant leaders also attended this sodality including Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Dong Yang, Director of Department of Industry of NDRC Mr. Li Gang, Deputy Director General of Bureau of Operation Monitoring of MIIT Mr. Yu Tao, and Director of Department of Equipment Industry of MIIT Mr. Qian Minghua.

On the meeting, the representatives of each company reported their own state of operation in 2012. Then, several hot topics, like self-owned brand development, city purchase restriction, third-stage fuel consumption standard and industrial policies on new energy vehicles, were discussed.
