On Nov. 14th, 2012, the Deputy Secretary General Mr. Shi Jianhua met with Mr. Gregory, the new Economic Officer and Second Secretary of American Embassy in China, and Mr. Jiang Lian, the economic expert of Economic Department.
  
For the request of Mr. Gregory, Mr. Shi Jianhua introduced the background of CAAM, its frame and function as well as how the association played its role to promote the healthy development of China’s auto industry as the bridge between the Government and enterprises.
  
Both sides made exchanges on issues like market situation, growing trend, new energy vehicles, local policies and current and future auto markets.
  
Mr. Gregory hoped that they could continue to strengthen the contacts with CAAM and looked forward to deeper exchanges on auto industry next time.
