Organized by CAAM, the 7th sodality of foreign auto companies in China was held in Beijing on the afternoon of April 3rd. Representatives of 21 foreign companies and relevant government officials attend the meeting.

Deputy Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Shi Jianhua hosted the meeting

Firstly, the Executive Vice Chairman Mr. Dong Yang delivered a short speech. He said that with the development of Chinese automotive industry in recent years, more and more problems occurred subsequently. We should treat this sodality as a bridge for inner communications and a platform for sharing experiences, so as to promote industrial progress and bear social responsibilities together. Thus, we could push forward the development of automotive technology.

Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Dong Yang delivered a speech

On the meeting, the representatives made deep discusses and exchanges with the government officials on issues like the industrial policy of new energy vehicles, the third-phase oil consumption standard, the development of Chinese brand, warranty services of repair, replacement and refund, the fourth-phase emission standard, etc. Then, the Deputy Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Yao Jie gave a detailed introduction about the statistics of imported vehicles in terms of brands.
        The Director Mr. Li Gang aired his opinions on some hot issues, including haze pollution, industrial policies of new energy vehicles, and trends of automotive macro policies after government transition. Besides, the Deputy Director General Mr. Yu Tao made an overall analysis on industrial operation of the first quarter. He fully affirmed the significant role that the automotive industry had played in national economy as its pillar industry.

In the end, Mr. Dong Yang made a summary. He expressed that CAAM will pay more efforts to improve this communicating platform. He hoped all those foreign companies could take an active part in this meeting. Meanwhile, he wished the government officials would continue to support it.
