On Sep. 12th, 2013, “2013 Policy Research Annual Meeting of CAAM” was held in Xiangyang, Hubei province. More than 30 people attended this meeting, including the Vice Mayor of Xiangyang Mr. Feng Xueheng, members of policy research committee, staff of Xiangyang automotive office and staff of Policy Researching Department of CAAM. The meeting was hosted by the Deputy Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Li Jingsheng.

Mr. Li Jingsheng firstly extended his warm welcome and sincere thanks to the participants; then he introduced and analyzed the current situation of domestic auto industry and its existing problems. He also emphasized the importance of industrial policy research. He hoped that this meeting could enhance the exchanges and communications among members. Besides, he wished the members could share some industrial research projects so as to contribute to the Chinese dream.

Mr. Li Jingsheng hosted the meeting

The Vice Mayor Mr. Feng Xueheng showed his welcome and delivered a speech. In his speech, he introduced the history of Xiangyang and some basic situations of its automotive industry.
        According to the arrangements of the meeting, the Deputy Director of Policy Researching Department of CAAM Mr. Zhu kongyuan introduced the current process and achievements of the project of “Development Strategy and Policy Research of Chinese Brands” entrusted by MIIT. The Director Mr. Ni Quan introduced the project of “Fiscal and Taxation Policies to Promote Sound Development of New Energy Vehicles industry”, which was also entrusted by MIIT. In addition, Mr. Zhang Haibo of Chinese Automotive Industrial Economic and Technological Information Institute introduced the current process of the subject of “Automotive Industrial Policy Research System” initiated by CAAM.
        After the meeting, all representatives visited Hubei Aviation Precision Machinery Technology, automotive proving ground, New Torch Group of Hubei, Yuqing Technology Group, etc.
