On Nov. 18th to 20th, 2013, the Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Dong Yang went to Abu Dhabi to attend GAC (Global Agenda Council) Summit on Personal Transportation Systems, invited by World Economic Forum (hereinafter referred to as WEF).
Meeting Site
Established five years ago, the Global Agenda Council network was composed of more than 80 individual councils, of which each council had 15 to 20 members who were elites from academia, business, government and civil society. The Council on Personal Transportation Systems focused on the new mode of individual mobility, the interdependency of individual and public transportations as well as the environmental necessity to create new mode. Some research and discusses of this Council provided thoughts and possibility to tackle with problems concerning ever worsening congestions, limited city space, shifts in consumer behaviors and increasing environmental constraints.
To further expand Chinese influence on WEF auto field and know more about Chinese transportation systems, WEF wished to carry out cooperation with CAAM on several fields. Mr. Dong Yang also met with people from WEF to discuss the possible cooperative ways after the Summit. They thanked Mr. Dong Yang for his participation and expressed their willingness to continue to carry on dialogue and cooperation with CAAM.
