On Dec. 9th, the Brake System Committee of CAAM held a member meeting at Yunfeng Giant Hotel Shanghai to convey two meeting spirits, which were 2013 China Auto Parts Annual Conference and Chinese Auto Industrial Transformation and Upgrading Meeting. Nearly 40 representatives attended this member meeting. Most of them were presidents and general managers.
        The Secretary General of Brake System Committee Mr. Gu Yifan firstly conveyed the spirits of the abovementioned two meetings. In his speech, he also combined some practical cases. The representatives heard the report carefully and carried out deep discusses. They agreed that on one hand, Chinese auto industry had a sound prospect; on the other hand, the industry faced severe competitions.
        All the representatives thought that developing Chinese brand auto parts had significance for building auto giant. It was not only a matter of state security (economic security and defense security included), but also a matter of principle. Those auto parts enterprises developing Chinese brand should take the responsibilities to soldier on without hesitation.
        After hot discussions, the representatives had reached consensus on how to strengthen independent research and development, how to innovate, and how to intensify technical reform so as to realize automation, mechanization and informatizaiton in production. As for technical reform and equipment research & development, several enterprises had come to agreements. They would further discuss such issues after the meeting.
        The meeting made full success and achieved the anticipated goals.
