Standard and Regulation Working Committee of Automotive Industry Held Its Working Conference in Beijing

On Dec. 18th, 2013, the Standard and Regulation Working Committee of Automotive Industry held its working conference in Beijing. The representatives from key enterprises and industrial organizations attended this meeting, including FAW, DFM, SAIC, Changan, BAIC, GAC, Brilliance, SINOTRUK, Chery, JAC, Great Wall, BYD, Yutong, Volkswagen China, GM China, Toyota China, Mercedes-Benz China, Ford China, Nissan China, JLR China, SMVIC, NAST (Xiangyang), ACEA and JAMA.

The meeting was hosted by the Deputy Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Ye Shengji.
        Mr. Ye Shengji firstly analyzed the overall sales and production of Chinese automotive industry in 2013. Then, he emphasized the importance of standards and regulations to the development of auto industry.
        On the meeting, those representatives analyzed the current standards and regulations. Based on the general situation and their own facts, they carried out deep discussions on next-phase emission standard, oil consumption standard, in-vehicle air quality and TPMS. Meanwhile, they raised some advice and suggestions concerning the revision of industrial standards and regulations. In addition, the next step works of the Committee were discussed and planned as well.
