Aftermarket Committee of CAAM Held Its Council Meeting in Beijing

On Mar. 18th, 2014, the aftermarket committee of CAAM held its council meeting in Beijing. Over 70 representatives from auto manufacturers, auto parts enterprises, auto sales companies and auto-related organizations attended this meeting, including SAIC, DFM, BAIC ROCAR, Yutong, Yanfeng, FAW-Volkswagen Sales, Foton, Brilliance, JAC, Geely Sales, Luoshi, Friendly Frida, VIE, CCVP, CAPMA, China National Automotive Industry Parts Sales Corporation, etc.

The meeting was hosted by the Director of Trade Coordination Department Mr. Xu Haidong. The Deputy Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Shi Jianhua delivered a speech. He said, as an important growth point for future auto industry, the auto aftermarket cannot develop without concerted efforts of whole industrial chain. He hoped they could strengthen communication and cooperation to make contributions to the growing of domestic auto aftermarket.

Then, the General Manager of BAIC ROCAR Mr. Zhang Huimin introduced the current situation of BAIC ROCAR and domestic auto aftermarket. He emphasized that to develop auto aftermarket, concerted efforts and harmonized standards were required.

Following the agenda, Mr. Xu Haidong informed the preparation work done by the committee. He also explained its function and tasks. He wished that the establishment of the aftermarket committee would push forward the sound and rapid development of Chinese auto aftermarket.

The meeting identified that the committee would carry out works on nine aspects, which were parts supply, after-sales service, auto aftermarket, auto finance, second-hand cars and rental, auto culture, ELV and remanufacturing as well as specialized market.
