Vice Premier Ma Kai Chaired Working Conference on Application of New Energy Vehicles

On Mar. 26th, 2014, Vice Premier Ma Kai chaired a working conference on application of new energy vehicles in Shenzhen. The Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Dong Yang attended the conference and made a speech on behalf of the automotive industry.

In his speech, Mr. Dong Yang expressed three main points. Firstly, the government should continue to carry out encouragement policies on hybrid buses to ensure its sustainable development. Secondly, it will be more helpful to guide the production and consumption of energy-saving and new energy vehicles by raising the proportion of fuel surcharge rather than setting up pollution discharge fee of automobiles. Thirdly, we should establish and implement unified access system in pilot cities to break local protectionism.
        On the conference, Vice Premier Ma Kai deployed works on the following eight aspects: strengthening organizational leadership and coordination, fastening the construction of charging facilities, guiding innovation on business model, enhancing the application of new energy vehicles on public transportation, improving policy systems, breaking local protectionism, intensifying product’s R&D, as well as building a good environment.
