On May 26th, 2014, the Deputy Secretary General Mr. Shi Jianhua met with delegation of Hankook and Kiswire.
It was the first time for Hankook to visit CAAM, aiming at knowing the status and future tendency of Chinese automotive industry. The Hankook delegates introduced their investment and production in China. Hankook began to enter into China in the middle of 1990s. Now, it has three plants in China. Each year, 30 million tires are produced in China, of which two thirds are used for domestic supporting, one third for export.
Mr. Shi Jianhua firstly welcomed their visit. Then, he introduced the status and future tendency of Chinese automotive industry. Besides, both sides exchanged views on issues concerning share proportion of joint ventures, investment environment in the Midwest and prospect of SUV.
The delegation thanked Mr. Shi Jianhua for his warm reception and hoped to strengthen communication with CAAM to jointly promote the development of automotive industries of China and South Korea.
