“Top 100 Machinery Industry Companies, Top 30 China Automobile Companies” Held in Beijing

On May 28th, 2014, the meeting “Top 100 Machinery Industry Companies, Top 30 China Automobile Companies” was held in Beijing, organized by CMIF and CAAM.

Many guests attended this meeting, including Mr. Wang Ruixiang, Chairman of CMIF, Mr. Huang Libin, Deputy Director of Operation Monitoring and Coordination Bureau of MIIT, Mr. Cai Weici, Executive Vice Chairman of CMIF, Mr. Dong Yang, Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM, Mr. Song Xiaogang, Executive Vice Chairman of CMIF, Ms. Zhao Xinmin, Deputy Secretary General of CMIF, Mr. Yao Jie, Deputy Secretary General of CAAM,  Ms. Bian Lina, Division Director of Operation Monitoring and Coordination Bureau of MIIT, Mr. Shen Bo, Director of Machinery Industry Information Center and General Manager of mei.net.cn, representatives of Top 100 Machinery Industry Companies and Top 30 China Automobile Companies, as well as domestic major medias.
        To show achievements in machinery and automotive industry over the past year, to accelerate structural adjustment and to push forward transformation and upgrading, CMIF and CAAM finished ranking Top 100 Machinery Industry Companies and Top 30 China Automobile Companies of the new term, based on major statistics of 2013.
        In 2013, except for 4 companies, other Top 30 China Automobile Companies maintained positive growth in operating revenue. In view of scale, eight of them gained over 100 billion yuan income, one more than last year, of which five exceeded 200 billion yuan and one even surpassed a trillion yuan. SAIC ranked the first. Its operating revenue was 1.0521 trillion yuan, up 15.19% year on year, which became the first trillion yuan company in machinery and automotive industry; then followed by FAW (operating revenue: 602.5 billion yuan, up 11.33% year on year), DFM (453.4 billion yuan, up 24.39% year on year), BAIC (266.4 billion yuan, up 26.25% year on year) and Chang’an (216.1 billion yuan, up 44.66% year on year).
        Since 2004, this meeting has been held for 10 successive years. The past decade witnessed Chinese automotive industry transferred from the high speed development into transformation and upgrading era. Look back, we noticed that those enterprises listed were undoubtedly excellent in technical innovation, operation performance, stability, corporate growth and production capability. Among Top 30 China Automobile Companies, SAIC, FAW, DFM, BAIC, Chang’an and Geely were awarded “Outstanding Contribution for 10 Years Development”.

On the meeting, Mr. Dong Yang delivered a report entitled on “Ten-Year Achievements and Future Development of Chinese Automotive Industry” for an overall review of the past decade. Meanwhile, he analyzed the current situation as well as offered some advice and suggestions for future development.

On behalf of awarded companies, the representatives from BAIC and Geely delivered speeches as well.
