On May 30th, 2014, CAAM held the inaugural meeting and the 1st council meeting of the After Market Committee at Beijing Conference Center. At the same time, the awarding ceremony for auto parts enterprises which were excellent in parts export in 2013 was held. CAAM would play its due role in after market sector.

As a special committee directly under CAAM, the After Market Committee would play an important role in policies and standards implementation, appeal reflection, rights protection and self-discipline.

The 1st Council of the After Market Committee was constituted by election. There were altogether 138 Council members, of which 85 were Standing Council members, 11were Vice Director units. Mr. Shi Jianhua was appointed as the Chairman of the Committee. Mr. Wang Duyang (General Manager of China National Automotive Industry Parts Sales Co., Ltd), Mr. Zhang Huimin (President of BAIC ROCAR), Ms. Gao Juzhen (Director of SAIC) and Mr. Zhang Jun (Director of DFM) were appointed as Executive Vice Chairman of the Committee. Besides, Mr. Zhang Xiaoyu (Special Advisor of CMIF) and Mr. Dong Yang (Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM) were hired as Honorary Chairman. The Secretariat of the Committee was set up in CAAM.

The Committee would play its functional roles in nine aspects, which were parts supply, after-sales repair, after loading, auto finance, second-hand cars and rental, auto culture, recycle and remanufacturing, specialized market and others.

To further promote the transformation and upgrading of Chinese auto parts enterprises and accelerate the change of their development mode, an awarding ceremony was also held to honor Export Excellency parts enterprises in 2013.

16 enterprises were awarded due to their excellent performance in auto parts export in 2013. They were CITIC Dicastal, Ningbo Tuopu, Shandong Gold Phoenix, Laizhou Sanli, Weichai, Guangxi Yuchai, Hubei Henglong, Zhejiang Luoshi, Shanghai Baolong, Zhejiang ADD, Zhejiang Shibao, Dongqi, Fogang Xin Tongshi, Guangdong Faret, Shandong Houfeng and Xiamen Yongyu.
The representatives from over 180 enterprises and organizations attended this meeting, such as SAIC, DFM, BAIC ROCAR, Geely and so on.
