Spread the Positive Energy to Jointly Promote the Development of Chinese Brand

On Sep 25th, 2014, the Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Dong Yang hosted "Chinese Brand Promotion Senior Seminar". The Deputy Director of General Office of MIIT Mr. Tao Shaohua, the Director of News Division Mr. Xu Chaofeng, and the Executive Vice Chairman of CMIF Mr. Chen Bin attended the meeting and delivered key speeches. Over 50 representatives participated in, including senior leaders from 13 Chinese brand manufacturers and heads of 20 mainstream media.
        The meeting was held during the critical period of Chinese brand passenger cars. They were facing lots of challenges and disadvantages, like purchase restriction, cost reduction of foreign brands, lack of recognition, etc. The development of Chinese brand has aroused wide public concern. Under such background, it was meaningful for CAAM to hold a promotion seminar. Any good suggestions and advice would be submitted to the related government departments.
        Hereby, we called on entities that enjoyed national funding to use Chinese brand in public and large activities, including government agencies, state-owned enterprises, state holding enterprises, Chinese enterprise residing abroad and Chinese embassies, so as to create a good environment and raise national awareness and confidence in usage of Chinese brand.
        We also initiated to our media friends to grasp the era theme and adhere to the correct public opinion to guide the consumers evaluating Chinese brand in an objective way, hence providing a healthy environment for its development.
        As an important auto industrial organization, the main tasks for CAAM to promote Chinese brand included establishing a regular communication mechanism with media, creating exchange channels between media and enterprises, forming an effective promotion platform, studying industrial spread tendency, advocating self-discipline, spreading mainstream voice and forming unified understanding.
        We believed that there must be a group of Chinese brand manufacturers growing up to the footstone of the sustainable development of Chinese auto industry and the backbone of the construction of auto power under concern and support of media and the society.
