On Nov. 18th, in accordance with the requirement of MIIT, CAAM organized related enterprises in automotive and power battery industries to study the speech spirit of Vice Premier Ma Kai addressing on Tianjin Power Battery Enterprises Symposium in Beijing. Over 70 enterprise representatives from power battery, battery material, battery integration and electric control, charging facilities construction and operation, standardization agencies, industrial associations as well as academies and institutes attended the meeting. 

The Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Dong Yang hosted the meeting. He fully conveyed the speech spirit of Vice Premier Ma Kai who paid high attention to the development of power battery industry. On Tianjin Symposium, Vice Premier Ma Kai emphasized that the power battery was the heart of the EV, hence the key part to develop new energy vehicles. He fully affirmed the positive progress achieved in the development path, and also raised six important works should be carried out next. They were trying to achieve dramatic breakthrough in power battery technologies, accelerating the improvement of technical standard system, innovating business patterns, constructing battery cascade utilization and recycling management system, strengthening policy support and guiding the industry healthy development.
        The Deputy Inspector of Equipment Department of MIIT Mr. Qu Guochun introduced the current situation of Chinese new energy vehicles and put forward the specific requirements on how to carry out the speech spirit of Vice Premier Ma Kai.
        Mr. Dong Yang expressed that CAAM would, in accordance with the instructions of Vice Premier Ma Kai, actively communicate with related research agencies and power battery enterprises to try to propose constructive suggestions as soon as possible on promoting technical chain in collaboration with industrial chain, enhancing basic technical R&D and making enterprise internationally competitive under the guidance of MIIT and other related ministries. 

The representatives expressed that they would learn carefully the speech spirit of Vice Premier Ma Kai to accelerate the innovation on power battery and strengthen mutual cooperation to develop and produce high-end power batteries, so as to push forward the development of new energy vehicles.
