On Jan. 20th, the launching meeting of CAAM Military Vehicle Committee was held in Beijing. Representatives from military vehicle manufacturers, academies and research institutes and related administrative departments attended this meeting. The Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Dong Yang participated in and delivered a speech. The Deputy Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Ye Shengji hosted the meeting.

In his speech, Mr. Dong Yang briefly introduced the background, meanings and significance of launching military vehicle committee. He also explained the main functions of the committee, namely to coordinate the relations between automotive industry and military vehicle development and to build communicating platform for military vehicle manufacturers, academies and related administrative departments, so as to meet the needs of each side and promote the rapid and healthy development of military vehicles.

The meeting reviewed and approved CAAM Military Vehicle Committee Work Regulations and CAAM Military Vehicle Committee Construction Program. Besides, the meeting elected the 1st council members and determined staff of the secretariat.

On the meeting, the representatives reported each situation and shared research results.

At the end, Mr. Ye Shengji summarized the meeting. He suggested all sides concerned could make full use of this platform to put joint efforts to contribute to the rapid development of the military vehicles.
