On Apr 21st to 25th 2015, APEC the 22nd Automotive Dialogue was successfully held in Manila of the Philippines. Mr. Xu Haidong director of Trade Coordination        Department of CAAM, Mr. Meng Xiangfeng Doctor of MIIT and other delegates from Beijing Institute of Technology and China Automotive Engineering Research Institute attended the meeting.

Total 12 economic entities attended this meeting. They were participants from China, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Peru, the Philippines, Russia, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, America and Vietnam, Meanwhile, SIAM was also invited to participate in. The meeting presided over by rotating presidency of the Philippines and the assistant minister of Trade and Industry Department attended and delivered the opening speech.
        APEC AD aims to deepen the collaboration between the auto industry under the different cultural background, to strengthen regional automotive industry trade convenience and freedom. At the same time, it is also responsible for auto industry demands and suggestions in the Asia-Pacific region, and summary to the economies of trade related government departments.

Meeting Site

In the meeting, China introduced the latest progress of "analyzing the effectiveness of policy instrument in promoting new energy vehicles ". This project has been approved by the 22nd AD and CTI as well as gets financial support from APEC. It was the first funding support project for APEC AD meeting since its establishment. At present, the project for proposal (RFP) has been completed and submitted to the APEC secretariat.
Meanwhile, China also further expressed "building the automotive industry talent exchange mechanism in the Asia-Pacific region ", and "the application of new energy buses with business model research and best experience sharing”. These two projects of intent agreement have been completed to submit after the 21st APEC AD. Among which, the project of "talent exchange mechanism" will further solicit opinions from the relevant economies in this meeting, and to develop the next step work according to the feedback.
        In addition, China introduced the automotive market situation and the development of new energy vehicles in domestic to AD delegations.
During the 22nd AD, the representatives of each economic entity took in-depth exchange and discussion on market access, standards and regulations, auto parts, and new energy vehicles development issues.
        The meeting of “pushing forward small and medium-sized auto parts enterprise integration into the global value chain system” was held during the same period, and invited some relevant enterprise delegates and guests to deliver a keynote speech.
