On July 8th to 9th, the special seminar on auto parts development and vehicle-parts cooperation for Chinese brand passenger cars was held in Shenyang. More than 30 representatives from OEMs and major parts enterprises attended the seminar and carried out deep discussions on parts development and cooperative patterns for whole vehicles and auto parts.

The Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Dong Yang participated in the seminar as well. The seminar was hosted by the Deputy Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Ye Shengji.
        The seminar aimed at building platform for OEMs and parts enterprises to enhance communication and explore cooperative pattern, so as to promote the rapid and healthy development of Chinese parts industry and Chinese brand passenger cars.

On the seminar, Mr. Dong Yang pointed out that a strong parts system was the necessity to build China into an auto power. The development of Chinese brand was the core. To develop Chinese brand, a competitive and matching parts system was the key point. He wished OEMs could put emphasis on construction of the complete parts system to cultivate and support those excellent parts enterprises. Meanwhile, he wished the parts enterprises could lay a solid foundation to keep pace with the advanced international enterprises to drive for development of Chinese brand passenger cars.

Interaction and Discussion

The representatives expressed their own views on issues concerning supply system, cooperative strategies and problems encountered through development.
