Jointly organized by CAAM, TVMA and ARTC, 2015 Cross-Strait Conference on Auto Industrial Cooperation and Communication was held in Taizhong on August 26th to 27th. There were altogether more than 120 participants attending this conference, including some mainland Chinese companies like SAIC Volkswagen, JMC, Zhengzhou Yutong, TRANSUN, Jinzhou Hanhua, CGW, Qingdao Haitong, etc. and auto companies and agencies from Taiwan like CMC, Ford Lioho, etc. The Deputy Secretaries General of CAAM Mr. Shi Jianhua and Ms. Xu Yanhua participated in and delivered speeches.

The conference had been held for six successive years. Under the active participation of government agencies, industrial associations and relevant enterprises as well as various forms of exchanges, the past six years had achieved remarkable and fruitful achievements, thus pushing forward the cooperation and development of cross-strait auto industries.

Firstly, Mr. Cai Wenrong and Mr. Shi Jianhua delivered speeches successively. Mr. Cai Wenrong affirmed the fruitful achievements achieved during the past six years and the positive role the conference had played in advancement of exchanges, innovation and cooperation of cross-strait auto industries. Mr. Shi Jianhua, in his speech, reviewed the past conferences on one hand; and pointed out the future cooperative potential on the other. He wished this year’s conference a great success and more practical achievements could be made in future.

Mr. Jian Xiaojian introduced the development trend of smart vehicles in Taiwan. Ms. Xu Yanhua introduced the status and development of connected vehicles in Mainland China. Besides, Dr. Su Fengzheng, President of Lextar, introduced the development and advantages of LED in Taiwan.

Advocating the former pattern, the conference was divided into business cooperation group and vehicle electronic group.

After the conference, the delegates from Mainland China visited Fair Friend Group, GSK Group and AUO. Through communication and exchange, Shanghai Changhui Investment & Management Company and Taiwan LED Lighting Industry Association reached consensus and signed MOU.
