With Chinese economy entering into a new normal, Chinese automotive industry had encountered both great challenges and opportunities. The formulation and implementation of the strategy “China Manufacturing 2025”would be a key guidance to build Chinese automotive industry bigger and stronger. Under such a crucial era, the auto parts industry, as the important foundation for the development of automotive industry, had become the focus of attention in terms of how to provide supports for OEMs and how to play its role in “China Manufacturing 2025”. On Nov. 25th to 26th, 2015 China Auto Parts Industry Annual Conference and China Auto Parts Development & OEM-Supplier Cooperation Summit (hereinafter referred to as the Annual Conference) was held in Pinghu, Zhejiang province.
Organized by CAAM and Jiaxing Municipal People’s Government and co-organized by Pinghu Municipal People’s Government, the Annual Conference attracted more than 400 representatives, including government leaders from NDRC and AQSIQ, major domestic OEMs and parts suppliers, some foreign suppliers in China, related industrial associations, CAAM branches, auto parts manufacturing bases and media.

Themed with “Innovation to Development, Meeting New Challenges-China Manufacturing 2025 Guiding Parts Development”, the Annual Conference was composed of main conference, special seminar and new technology & product display.
Hosted by the Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Wu Shaoming, the main conference was held on the morning of Nov. 25th, of which the Deputy Mayor of Jiaxing Mr. Sheng Quansheng, the Director of NDRC Mr. Wu Wei and the Deputy Director of AQSIQ Mr. Wang Yan delivered keynote speeches respectively.

The Deputy Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Ye Shengji delivered a keynote speech entitled on “Adapting New Normal, Meeting New Challenges----China Manufacturing 2025 Guiding Healthy Development of Parts Industry”. In his speech, Mr. Ye Shengji summarized the whole-year work and raised next step work assumptions. Meanwhile, he analyzed the industrial features presented under the “new normal” as well as the opportunities and challenges encountered. Besides, he proposed the objectives, missions, paths and suggestions for parts development under the guidance of “China Manufacturing 2025”.

On the conference, the Director of Strategy Research Center of SAIC Motor Ms. Dai Juan made a speech on “Changing, Challenge & Innovation----Strategic Transformation for Chinese Automotive Enterprises”. She elaborated the direction of transformation under the new normal in terms of market evolution, technical progress and industrial change. Besides, she shared with the representatives the transformative thoughts and parts plate strategy of SAIC Motor.

The representatives from Wanliyang and Bosch explored parts development under the new normal from the perspectives of trends & strategy, self innovation and OEM-supplier relationship. CAERI explained how to support the development of OEMs and parts suppliers for those scientific-oriented service agencies under the new situation. The Deputy Mayor of Pinghu Mr. Qian Yongbiao introduced Pinghu automotive industry and local investment environment.
