On Mar. 14th, the Executive Vice Chairman of CAAM Mr. Dong Yang met with guests from VDA China Representative Office. They were the Head of VDA China Dr. Thomas Meurers and the Manager Mr. Zhang Lin.

Dr. Thomas Meurers just took the position this January. His visit aimed at making connections with CAAM and discussing the possibilities of deeper cooperation in certain fields.
        Mr. Dong Yang firstly extended his warm welcome to the guests. Then, Dr. Thomas Meurers briefed the basic situation of VDA and the recent works of its China Representative Office.
        Established in 1903, VDA has more than 600 member units, covering both OEMs and suppliers, with headquarter in Berlin. The China Representative Office was set up in 2014 and mainly involved in the following activities, including aftermarket, new energy vehicles, automated driving, product safety, logistics, standardization and supplier CEO round table.
        Besides, the both sides reached consensus on cooperation. In future, the two associations would further strengthen communication and carry out deeper cooperation.
        The Director of International Cooperation Department Mr. Chen Yuanzhi and the Senior Officer Ms. Liu Zheng accompanied to attend the meeting.
