On Oct. 25th to 27th, “2016 China Auto Parts Annual Conference and China Auto Parts Forum” was held in Xiangyang, Hubei province. Organized by CAAM and co-organized by Xiangyang government, the conference attracted more than 600 representatives, including government leaders from MOFCOM and Xiangyang, major domestic OEMs and parts suppliers, related industrial associations, CAAM branches, auto parts manufacturing bases, research institutions, academies and media.

Keynote Conference

Themed with “Innovation, Synergy, Internationalization—Leading the Future of China’s Auto Parts Industry”, the conference was composed of keynote conference, special seminar and new technology & product display.

The keynote conference was hosted by the Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Wu Shaoming.

On behalf of the co-organizer, the Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor of Xiangyang Mr. Qin Jun gave an opening address.

The Deputy Director of Department of Market System Development of MOFCOM Mr. Song Yingjie introduced the related policies concerning auto circulation market.

The Deputy Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Shi Jianhua delivered a keynote speech entitled on “Innovation & Synergy, Meeting Challenges—Starting New Future of China’s Auto Parts Industry”. In his speech, Mr. Shi Jianhua introduced the overall situation of automotive and auto parts industry this year. He specially elaborated the influences of current major reforms on auto parts. Finally, he summarized the whole-year work and raised next step work assumptions.

On the conference, the Vice President of DFM Mr. Qiu Xiandong delivered a speech on “Facing Challenges for Win-win Future”. He specified that six trends would exert profound impacts on automotive development and thought the leading parts enterprises should focus on modular/systematic supply, technical upgrading, exogenous growth, internationalization and localization. In future, the auto parts industry would present a trend of “stronger getting stronger”. Besides, Mr. Qiu also introduced the development strategy of DFM as well as posed some suggestions on parts development.

The President of Bosch (China) Mr. Chen Yudong gave a speech on “Thinking of China Automotive Industry under ITS Era”.

The General Manager of Han’s Laser Mr. Chen Yi delivered a speech on “Laser Driving Transformation & Upgrading of Auto Manufacturing” to elaborate the positive role of future laser technologies in promoting automotive development.

Besides, the publishing ceremony of “China Auto Parts Blue Book” and the launching ceremony of CT30 were held on the keynote conference.
