The Audi FAW New Energy Vehicle (NEV) project was officially launched in Changchun, Jilin province, China, on February 18, 2022.
Jing Junhai, Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee, declared the launch of the project.
The production base is expected to produce 150,000 NEVs a year after the construction completed by the end of 2024.
Before the ceremony, Jing Junhai, Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee, Han Jun, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Governor of Jilin Province, and Xu Liuping, Secretary of the CPC FAW Group Committee and Chairman of FAW Group, inspected the construction site and reviewed the introduction related to project planning, phased construction, products, and talent team building.
