In June, the total sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 570,800 units, down 0.1% year on year. The market share increased 1.2 percentage points than the previous year. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 163,000 units, down 23.4% year on year, with a decrease of 2.1 percentage points on market share. On the contrary, the sales of Chinese brand SUV and MPV both enjoyed growth in sales volume and market share. The sales reached 213,100 units and 103,800 units respectively, up 54.7% and 0.1% year on year. Their market shares increased 5.2 percentage points and 0.6 percentage points.
As for the first half, the accumulated sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 4,184,600 units, up 14.6% year on year. The market share increased 3.5 percentage points than the previous year, reaching 41.5%. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 1,243,400 units, down 10.6% year on year, with a decrease of 1.1 percentage points on market share, reaching 21.5%. On the contrary, the sales of Chinese brand SUV and MPV both enjoyed growth in sales volume and market share. The sales reached 1,417,700 units and 895,200 units respectively, up 92.8% and 19.3% year on year. Their market shares increased 12.9 percentage points and 3 percentage points, reaching 53.3% and 88.1% respectively.
