In July, the sales and production of automobiles witnessed decline both monthly and yearly, of which the volumes had been lower than the same period of last year for three successive months. According to the statistics made by CAAM, such phenomenon could date back to November of 2008 to January of 2009.
        This month, the production and sales of automobiles in China reached 1,518,000 and 1,503,000 units respectively, down 18% and 16.6% than that of last month, and down 11.8% and 7.1% year on year. For the first seven months, the production and sales of automobiles were 13,612,700 and 13,353,300 units respectively, up 0.8% and 0.4% year on year. However, the monthly cumulative growth continued to decline. Their growth rates decreased 8.7 percentage points and 7.8 percentage points than the previous year.
