According to the statistics made by CAAM, the auto export was 52,200 units in August, down 14.2% than that of last month, and down 23.4% year on year. Among different types, the passenger cars were 33,000 units, down 17.6% than that of last month, and down 19.5% year on year; while the commercial vehicles were 19,200 units, down 7.6% than that of last month, and down 29.3% year on year.
For the first eight months, the export reached 498,000 units, down 14.8% year on year. To be specific, the passenger cars reached 286,700 units, down 16.5% year on year; the commercial vehicles were 211,300 units, down 12.5% year on year.
According to customs data sorted out by CAAM, in July, the total import of automobiles was 101,000 units, down 24.9% year on year, and the total export was 70,700 units, down 23.3% year on year. For the first seven months, the accumulated imports reached 632,900 units, down 23.7% year on year; and the accumulated exports reached 469,700 units, down 11.4% year on year.
