According to the statistics made by CAAM, the production and sales of new energy vehicles in China in August reached 21,303 units and 18,054 units respectively, increasing 2.9 times and 3.5 times year on year. To be specific, the production and sales of BEV reached 13,121 units and 12,085 units, increasing 3.8 times and 6.1 times year on year; and such figures for PHEV were 8,182 units and 5,969 units, increasing 2 times and 1.6 times year on year.
        As for the first eight months, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 118,020 units and 108,654 units respectively, increasing 2.6 times and 2.7 times year on year. To be specific, the production and sales of BEV reached 74,727 units and 68,316 units, increasing 2.9 times and 3.4 times year on year; and such figures for PHEV were 43,293 units and 40,338 units, increasing 2.1 times and 2 times year on year.
