In November, the sales and production of passenger cars increased more than 10% than that of last month and more than 20% year on year. The monthly sales and production set a new high. The market continued to rebound.
This month, the production and sales were 2,230,200 and 2,196,800 units respectively, up 17.4% and 13.4% than that of last month, and up 21.6% and 23.7% year on year.
For the first eleven months, the production and sales of passenger cars reached 18,735,200 and 18,681,300 units respectively, up 4.2% and 5.9% year on year. Their growth rates both increased 2 percentage points than the first ten months.
As for the passenger cars by type, comparing with the same period of last year, SUV continued a high-speed growth, of which the production and sales were up 48.2% and 51.1%. MPV also enjoyed a growth, with an increase of 7% and 7.9% in production and sales respectively. As for cars, the production and sales witnessed decline, down 8.2% and 6.3% respectively. Moreover, the situation of crossed passenger cars was even worse, of which such figures decreased by 18.2% and 19%.
This month, the sales of passenger cars with engine capacity of 1.6L and below reached 1,556,600 units, up 16.5% than that of last month, 3.1 percentage points higher than the overall growth. Comparing with the same period of last year, such figure increased by 29%, 5.3 percentage points higher than the overall growth. The sales accounted for 70.9% of the total sales of passenger cars this month. The market share increased 1.9 percentage points than the previous month. Statistics showed that the purchase-tax-halving policy continued to drive the sales of passenger cars with engine capacity of 1.6L and below.
