In 2015, the total sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 8,737,600 units, up 15.3% year on year. The market share increased 2.9 percentage points than the previous year, reaching 41.3%. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 2,430,300 units, down 12.5% year on year, with a decrease of 1.7 percentage points on market share, reaching 20.7%. On the contrary, the sales of Chinese brand SUV and MPV both enjoyed growth in sales volume and market share. The sales reached 3,343,000 units and 1,865,800 units respectively, up 82.8% and 13.6% year on year. Their market shares increased 8.9 percentage points and 2.7 percentage points, reaching 53.7% and 88.6% respectively.
