In March, the sales and production of automobiles witnessed fast increase than that of last month. Comparing with the same period of last year, the sales and production both grow more than 8%, generally in a fairly good situation.
        This month, the production and sales of automobiles in China reached 2,521,000 and 2,440,000 units respectively, up 56.4% and 54.3% than that of last month, and up 10.3% and 8.8% year on year. Their growth rates increased 6.6 percentage points and 5.5 percentage points than the previous year.
        For the first quarter, the production and sales of automobiles were 6,590,000 and 6,527,000 units respectively, up 6.2% and 6% year on year, 0.9 percentage points and 2.1 percentage points higher than the same period of last year.
