According to the statistics made by CAAM, in August, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 42 thousand units and 38 thousand units respectively, increasing 81.5% and 92.2% year on year. To be specific, the production and sales of BEV reached 32 thousand units and 28 thousand units, increasing 114.8% and 106.4% year on year; and such figures for PHEV were 10 thousand units, increasing 23.1% and 61.0% year on year.
        For the first eight months, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 258 thousand units and 245 thousand units respectively, increasing 111.0% and 115.6% year on year. To be specific, the production and sales of BEV reached 194 thousand units and 181 thousand units, increasing 145.5% and 147.4% year on year; and such figures for PHEV were both 64 thousand units, increasing 48.2% and 58.1% year on year.
