According to the statistics made by CAAM, the auto export was 63,000 units in August, up 12.8% than that of last month, and up 21.1% year on year. Among different types, the passenger cars were 43,000 units, up 20.4% than that of last month, and up 29.6% year on year; while the commercial vehicles were 20,000 units, down 0.3% than that of last month, and up 6.3% year on year.
For the first eight months, the export reached 433,000 units, down 13.1% year on year. To be specific, the passenger cars reached 278,000 units, down 3.0% year on year; the commercial vehicles were 155,000 units, down 26.8% year on year.
According to customs data sorted out by CAAM, in July, the total import of automobiles was 97,000 units, down 3.7% year on year, and the total export was 73,000 units, up 3.4% year on year. For the first seven months, the accumulated imports reached 571,000 units, down 9.7% year on year; and the accumulated exports reached 418,000 units, down 11.1% year on year.
