The growth of PC lower than the overall industry on yearly basis

In February, the production and sales of passenger cars reached 1,847,000 and 1,633,000 units respectively, down 10.8% and 26.4% than that of last month, but up 31.5% and 18.3% year on year, 2.3 percentage points and 4.1 percentage points lower than the overall growth.
    For the first two months, the production and sales of passenger cars were 3,919,000 and 3,851,000 units respectively, up 9.9% and 6.3% year on year, 1.2 percentage points and 2.6 percentage points lower than the overall growth. As for the passenger cars by type, comparing with the same period last year, SUV continued growth, of which the production and sales were up 28.7% and 21.6%. The cars also enjoyed growth, up 6.4% and 3.8% respectively. While for MPV, the production and sales witnessed decline, down 15.7% and 18.7%. Moreover, the situation of crossed passenger cars was even worse, of which such figures decreased by 35.6% and 26.9%.
    In February, the sales of passenger cars with engine capacity of 1.6L and below reached 1,157,000 units, up 17.5% year on year. The sales accounted for 70.9% of the total sales of passenger cars, 0.5 percentage points lower than the same period last year.
    For the first two months, the sales of passenger cars with engine capacity of 1.6L and below reached 2,745,000 units, up 7.6% year on year, 0.9 percentage points higher than the same period last year, accounting for 71.3% of the total sales of passenger cars. The contribution rate to the sales of PC was 84.8%.
