The market share of Chinese brand passenger cars enjoyed growth

In April, the total sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 733,000 units, down 1.9% year on year, accounting for 42.6% of the total sales of passenger cars. The market share increased 0.8 percentage points than the previous year. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 165,000 units, down 3.2% year on year, accounting for 19.7% of the total sales of cars, with an increase of 0.9 percentage points on market share. The sales of Chinese brand SUV reached 393,000 units, up 17.4% year on year. The market share increased 3.1 percentage points, reaching 57.4%. The sales of Chinese brand MPV were 119,000 units, down 24.5% year on year, accounting for 83% of the total sales of MPV, with a decrease of 5 percentage points on market share.
  For the first four months, the accumulated sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 3,453,000 units, up 4.6% year on year. The market share increased 0.9 percentage points than the previous year, reaching 45%. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 736,000 units, up 0.7% year on year, with an increase of 0.4 percentage points on market share, reaching 20%. The sales of Chinese brand SUV reached 1,881,000 units, up 26.3% year on year. The market share increased 4 percentage points, reaching 61.3%. The sales of Chinese brand MPV were 612,000 units, down 21.4% year on year, accounting for 87.8% of the total sales of MPV, with a decrease of 3.9 percentage points on market share.
