In May, comparing with last month, the automobiles witnessed slight decline in production but slight growth in sales. While comparing with last May, the situation was contrary, up in production but down in sales. This month, the production and sales of automobiles in China reached 2,087,000 and 2,096,000 units respectively, down 2.4% in production but up 0.6% in sales than that of last month, and up 0.7% in production but down 0.1% in sales year on year.
　　For the first five months, the production and sales of automobiles were 11,358,000 and 11,182,000 units respectively, up 4.5% and 3.7% year on year, 1.3 percentage points and 3.3 percentage points lower than the same period last year. The accumulative sales growth continued to fall.
