The passenger cars down in produciton, up in sales

In October, the production and sales of passenger cars reached 2,225,000 and 2,352,000 units respectively, down 3.2% than that of last month and 2.7% year on year in production, but up 0.4% both on monthly and yearly basis in sales.
  For the first ten months, the production and sales of passenger cars were 19,553,000 and 19,502,000 units respectively, up 2.3% and 2.1% year on year, 2 percentage points lower than the overall growth. As for the passenger cars by type, comparing with the same period last year, except that SUV continued growth, of which the production and sales were up 15.5% and 15.8%, others all witnessed decline. To be specific, the production and sales of cars were down 1.4% and 1.9% respectively. For MPV, the production and sales were down 16.9% and 17.2%. The situation of crossed passenger cars was even worse, of which such figures decreased by 26.6% and 25.4%.
  In October, the sales of passenger cars with engine capacity of 1.6L and below reached 1,637,000 units. The sales accounted for 69.6% of the total sales of passenger cars, 2.5 percentage points lower than the same period last year.
  For the first ten months, the sales of passenger cars with engine capacity of 1.6L and below reached 13,336,000 units, down 2% year on year, 2.9 percentage points lower than the same period last year, accounting for 68.4% of the total sales of passenger cars.
