The market share of Chinese brand PCs declined

In July, the total sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 638,000 units, down 6.1% year on year, accounting for 40.1% of the total sales of passenger cars. The market share decreased 0.4 percentage points than the previous year. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 160,000 units, up 8.0% year on year, accounting for 19.6% of the total sales of cars, with an increase of 1.7 percentage points than a year earlier. The sales of Chinese brand SUV reached 366,000 units, down 7.0% year on year, accounting for 57.9% of the total sales of SUV, with an increase of 0.8 percentage points than the previous year. The sales of Chinese brand MPV were 76,000 units, down 30.9% year on year, accounting for 71.0% of the total sales of MPV, with a decrease of 9.3 percentage points comparing with the same period last year.
  For the first seven months, the accumulated sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 5,748,000 units, up 2.3% year on year. The market share decreased 0.4 percentage points than the previous year, reaching 43.0%. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 1,354,000 units, up 11.7% year on year, accounting for 20.8% of the total sales of cars, with an increase of 1.3 percentage points than a year earlier. The sales of Chinese brand SUV reached 3,357,000 units, up 8.5% year on year, accounting for 60.0% of the total sales of SUV, with an increase of 0.7 percentage points than the previous year. The sales of Chinese brand MPV were 762,000 units, down 21.3% year on year, accounting for 77.1% of the total sales of MPV, with a decrease of 7.4 percentage points comparing with the same period last year.
