The market share of Chinese brand PCs declined

In August, the total sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 684,000 units, down 11.1% year on year, accounting for 38.2% of the total sales of passenger cars. The market share decreased 2.8 percentage points than the previous year. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 168,000 units, down 0.1% year on year, accounting for 18.6% of the total sales of cars, with an increase of 0.6 percentage points than a year earlier. The sales of Chinese brand SUV reached 397,000 units, down 14.0% year on year, accounting for 53.8% of the total sales of SUV, with a decrease of 5.8 percentage points than the previous year. The sales of Chinese brand MPV were 88,000 units, down 19.9% year on year, accounting for 73.6% of the total sales of MPV, with a decrease of 5.8 percentage points comparing with the same period last year.
  For the first eight months, the accumulated sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 6,429,000 units, up 0.6% year on year. The market share decreased 0.8 percentage points than the previous year, reaching 42.3%. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 1,522,000 units, up 10.3% year on year, accounting for 20.5% of the total sales of cars, with an increase of 1.2 percentage points than a year earlier. The sales of Chinese brand SUV reached 3,755,000 units, up 5.6% year on year, accounting for 59.0% of the total sales of SUV, with a decrease of 0.3 percentage points than the previous year. The sales of Chinese brand MPV were 850,000 units, down 21.2% year on year, accounting for 76.7% of the total sales of MPV, with a decrease of 7.2 percentage points comparing with the same period last year.
