The market share of Chinese brand PCs continued to decline yearly

  In August, the total sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 614,000 units, down 10.2% year on year, accounting for 37.2% of the total sales of passenger cars. The market share decreased 1.1 percentage points than the previous year. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 143,000 units, down 15.6% year on year, accounting for 18.3% of the total sales of cars, with a decrease of 0.4 percentage points than a year earlier. The sales of Chinese brand SUV reached 373,000 units, down 5.8% year on year, accounting for 49.9% of the total sales of SUV, with a decrease of 3.9 percentage points than the previous year. The sales of Chinese brand MPV were 69,000 units, down 21.0% year on year, accounting for 70.4% of the total sales of MPV, with a decrease of 3.1 percentage points comparing with the same period last year.

  For the first eight months, the accumulated sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 5,178,000 units, down 19.5% year on year. The market share decreased 3.5 percentage points than the previous year, reaching 38.9%. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 1,290,000 units, down 15.4% year on year, accounting for 19.9% of the total sales of cars, with a decrease of 0.7 percentage points than a year earlier. The sales of Chinese brand SUV reached 2,996,000 units, down 20.2% year on year, accounting for 52.4% of the total sales of SUV, with a decrease of 6.6 percentage points than the previous year. The sales of Chinese brand MPV were 637,000 units, down 25.0% year on year, accounting for 74.6% of the total sales of MPV, with a decrease of 2.2 percentage points comparing with the same period last year.
