In July, the production and sales of passenger cars reached 1,523,000 and 1,528,000 units respectively, down 4.7% and 11.6% than that of last month, and down 11.7% and 3.9% year on year. The decrease rate was slightly lower than the overall, narrowing 5.5 percentage points and 3.9 percentage points than that of last month.

　　For the first seven months, the production and sales of passenger cars were 11,501,000 and 11,654,000 units respectively, down 15.3% and 12.8% year on year. The sales declines continued to narrow comparing with the first six months. As for the passenger cars by type, comparing with the same period last year, the production and sales of cars were down 13.4% and 12.4% respectively. SUV also witnessed decline. Such figures were down 16.2% and 11.1%. For MPV, the production and sales were down 24.7% and 23.5%. For crossed passenger cars, the production and sales were down 9.8% and 16.5%.
