  In 2018, the accumulated sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 9,980,000 units, down 8% year on year. The market share decreased 1.8 percentage points than the previous year, reaching 42.1%. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 2,399,000 units, up 1.9% year on year, with an increase of 0.9 percentage points on market share, reaching 20.8%. The sales of Chinese brand SUV reached 5,800,000 units, down 6.7% year on year. The market share decreased 2.6 percentage points, reaching 58%. The sales of Chinese brand MPV were 1,328,000 units, down 23.1% year on year, accounting for 76.6% of the total sales of MPV, with a decrease of 6.9 percentage points on market share.
