For the first quarter, the production and sales of pick-ups reached 111,000 units and 114,000 units respectively, down 3.2% in production, but up 2.8% in sales than the same period last year, slightly higher than the overall growth of trucks.
As seen by fuels, the gasolines presented a high-speed growth momentum on yearly basis, affected by the improvement of emission standards. For the first quarter, the production and sales of diesels were 78,000 units and 82,000 units, down 13.9% and 8.5% year on year. And such figures for gasolines were 31,000 units and 32,000 units, up 40.8% and 49.6% year on year.
In Q1, the accumulated sales of top 5 pick-up manufacturers amounted to 76,000 units, up 2.9% year on year, accounting for 67.1% of the total sales of pick-ups, slightly higher than the previous year by 0.1 percentage points.
