The market share of Chinese brand PCs declined

  In March, the total sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 833,000 units, down 16.4% year on year, accounting for 41.3% of the total sales of passenger cars. The market share decreased 4.7 percentage points than the previous year. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 197,000 units, down 16.7% year on year, accounting for 20.7% of the total sales of cars, with a decrease of 2.3 percentage points than a year earlier. The sales of Chinese brand SUV reached 470,000 units, down 18.2% year on year, accounting for 54.1% of the total sales of SUV, with a decrease of 8.2 percentage points than the previous year. The sales of Chinese brand MPV were 116,000 units, down 17.9% year on year, accounting for 76.5% of the total sales of MPV, with a decrease of 3.6 percentage points comparing with the same period last year.

  For the first quarter, the accumulated sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 2,185,000 units, down 20.7% year on year. The market share decreased 3.7 percentage points than the previous year, reaching 41.5%. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 505,000 units, down 15.0% year on year, accounting for 20.1% of the total sales of cars, with a decrease of 0.7 percentage points than a year earlier. The sales of Chinese brand SUV reached 1,288,000 units, down 23.0% year on year, accounting for 56.5% of the total sales of SUV, with a decrease of 6.5 percentage points than the previous year. The sales of Chinese brand MPV were 294,000 units, down 23.5% year on year, accounting for 79.5% of the total sales of MPV, with a decrease of 1.1 percentage points comparing with the same period last year.
