In April, the production and sales of passenger cars reached 1,660,000 and 1,575,000 units respectively, down 20.5% and 22% than that of last month, and down 17% and 17.7% year on year. The decrease rate was still higher than the overall.

　　For the first four months, the production and sales of passenger cars were 6,888,000 and 6,838,000 units respectively, down 13.6% and 14.7% year on year. The decrease rate slightly enlarged comparing with Q1. As for the passenger cars by type, comparing with the same period last year, the production and sales of cars were down 11.2% and 12.6% respectively. SUV also witnessed decline. Such figures were down 16.3% and 15.8%. For MPV, the production and sales were down 18.1% and 24.2%. For crossed passenger cars, the production was up 14.7%, while the sales down 1.8%.
