The market share of Chinese brand PCs declined

  In April, the total sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 585,000 units, down 27.9% year on year, accounting for 37.1% of the total sales of passenger cars. The market share decreased 5.2 percentage points than the previous year. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 150,000 units, down 27.1% year on year, accounting for 18.9% of the total sales of cars, with a decrease of 3.2 percentage points than a year earlier. The sales of Chinese brand SUV reached 324,000 units, down 30.3% year on year, accounting for 50.1% of the total sales of SUV, with a decrease of 7.4 percentage points than the previous year. The sales of Chinese brand MPV were 70,000 units, down 30.7% year on year, accounting for 73.6% of the total sales of MPV, with a decrease of 0.1 percentage points comparing with the same period last year.

  For the first four months, the accumulated sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 2,770,000 units, down 22.3% year on year. The market share decreased 4 percentage points than the previous year, reaching 40.5%. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 662,000 units, down 17.2% year on year, accounting for 20% of the total sales of cars, with a decrease of 1.1 percentage points than a year earlier. The sales of Chinese brand SUV reached 1,604,000 units, down 25% year on year, accounting for 55% of the total sales of SUV, with a decrease of 6.7 percentage points than the previous year. The sales of Chinese brand MPV were 364,000 units, down 25% year on year, accounting for 78.3% of the total sales of MPV, with a decrease of 0.8 percentage points comparing with the same period last year.
