The sales of Chinese brand SUV reached 324,000 units, down 30.3% year on year, accounting for 50.1% of the total sales of SUV, with a decrease of 7.4 percentage points than the previous year. The sales of Chinese brand MPV were 70,000 units, down 30.7% year on year, accounting for 73.6% of the total sales of MPV, with a decrease of 0.1 percentage points comparing with the same period last year.
For the first four months, the accumulated sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 2,770,000 units, down 22.3% year on year. The market share decreased 4 percentage points than the previous year, reaching 40.5%. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 662,000 units, down 17.2% year on year, accounting for 20% of the total sales of cars, with a decrease of 1.1 percentage points than a year earlier. The sales of Chinese brand SUV reached 1,604,000 units, down 25% year on year, accounting for 55% of the total sales of SUV, with a decrease of 6.7 percentage points than the previous year.
