According to statistics and analysis of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM)，China automobile sales were 1,828,500 units in March, increase 44.32% compared with last month, and increase 5.36% compared with the same period of last year. Among main automobile categories, passenger car production was 1,347,600 units, up 6.52 percent year on year; the sales of commercial vehicle were up to 480,900 units, up 2.25 percent year on year.
        From January to March, Chinese auto sales exceeded 4,983,800 units, a rise of 8.08 percent from a year earlier. Passenger car sales climbed 9.07 percent year on year to about 3,843,900 units; commercial vehicle sales exceeded 1,139,800 units, a rise of 4.86 percent from a year earlier.
