According to statistics and analysis of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM)，China automobile sales were 1,552,000 units in April, decrease 15.12% compared with last month, and increase 0.25% compared with the same period of last year. Among main automobile categories, passenger car production was 1,142,300 units, up 2.79 percent year on year; the sales of commercial vehicle were up to 409,700 units, down 7.84 percent year on year.
        From January to April, Chinese auto sales exceeded 6,533,900 units, a rise of 5.95 percent from a year earlier. Passenger car sales climbed 7.55 percent year on year to about 4,985,600 units; commercial vehicle sales exceeded 1,548,300 units, a rise of 1.08 percent from a year earlier.
